When you're picking a venue in Orange County, location does more than show up on a map — it shapes who shows up. Drive time, freeway access, parking, and how easy it is to find the door from the street all decide whether your guests arrive relaxed or frustrated. Our sanctuary at 1820 17th St sits in central Santa Ana, and the geography happens to be one of its best features.
A central point of Orange County
Santa Ana is the county seat and one of the most centrally placed cities in OC. From our building, the surrounding cities are all a short drive: Tustin, Orange, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, and Irvine are each within roughly 10–20 minutes under normal traffic. That makes us a fair meeting point for guests coming from anywhere in the county — and reasonable for friends and family driving in from Long Beach, Riverside, or Los Angeles.
Easy from the I-5, 22, 55, and 405
Four major Orange County freeways are nearby: the 5, the 22 Garden Grove Freeway, the 55 Costa Mesa Freeway, and the 405. That gives guests multiple route options if traffic is heavy on any one corridor. For wedding guests coming from John Wayne Airport, you're looking at roughly a 12-minute drive. For ministry leaders from north OC or Long Beach, the 22 and 405 keep things straightforward.
Parking and arrival
We have 50 on-site parking spaces, including ADA-accessible spots and a covered drop-off zone right by the main entrance. That matters more than people expect. A 300-guest wedding with no on-site parking means hunting for street parking and a long walk in heels. With on-site parking and a drop-off zone, your older guests, your wedding party, and your speakers all arrive without a logistics headache.
The neighborhood around the venue
17th Street in Santa Ana is a quiet, residential-leaning corridor — far from the late-night noise of downtown but close enough to restaurants, hotels, and shopping that out-of-town guests have plenty of options. Hotels in Santa Ana, Orange, and Tustin offer easy stays for wedding guests, and downtown Santa Ana's restaurant district is a short drive for rehearsal dinners.
